Join Us in the Garden

Growing Healthy Veterans is thriving at our new garden space on the Rosalind Franklin University Health Clinic grounds! Thanks to a wonderful partnership with RFU leadership and staff, and the amazing efforts of GHV’s board members and volunteers, our site features vibrant raised beds filled with tomatoes, tomatillos, and peppers, alongside spacious ground beds overflowing with zucchini, potatoes, herbs, sunflowers, and pumpkins.

Our Saturday 10am-2pm volunteer sessions offer something for everyone—from building raised beds and prepping soil to enjoying the peaceful, meditative benefits of weeding and pruning alongside local veterans. Looking ahead, we are expanding into new learning spaces with hoop houses and ongoing garden care for 2027. Whether you want to get your hands dirty, give back to local families at food pantries, or simply connect with your community outdoors, we would love to grow together with you!
